[of course, the glee continues, but i spent a good bit of last night compiling this list for viewing pleasure, so i wanted to post it today]

i know i havent done a top 10 in a while (i was busy and not terribly interested, frankly), but i got to thinking about music videos the other day, so here's some of my favorites (not, of course, to be judged solely on the musical value of the song, but of the amusement and interest of the video as well) (and in no particular order, because im still lazy):

since i again would need to put up a top 10 a day early, and i kind of forgot about it until now, we'll do one that doesnt require me to scour my music library and do hard thinking. so today it will be my ( top 10 favorite things at disneyland! )

im in a foul mood today. got the "work harder and be more enthusiastic" talk from my advisor today. that made said mood worse. i thought id put together this list to make myself feel better. it didnt work. thats never good.

as of 4 today, i'm off to the third annual penny arcade expo in seattle! okay, my plane doesnt leave till like 7:30, but considering one of our carryon bags consists of 1 gamecube, four controllers, two game boy advances, and three gba-cube connector cables. i figure that will probably get at least one of us searched, so better safe than sorry with the timing. but we were careful to pack all liquids and gels into our checked bag :p.

anyway, i have no idea how much blogging i'm going to be doing this weekend (i'm probably going to forego lugging my laptop around the airport, so ill be a slave to joe's computer). so i wanted to be sure to post ye olde top 10 for this week today. also i'm avoiding work, woo.

it's friday! happy snakes on a plane day! (we're not seeing it till tomorrow, so maybe happy SoaP weekend is better...)

today's musical theme is musical themes... things that i'd choose for the opening credits for a sitcom about me, is the way i like to think about it. had a hard time getting it down to 10 on this one, but i managed ;) its not always just the lyrics-- in several cases its the music as well, which is hard to discuss here. a lot of the songs sound depressing or dark, but have upbeat music, which i like a lot. so something gets lost here... sorry about that :/

so, ( on to the list! )

first off: i really need a disneyland vacation. i spent half an hour watching this youtube movie of fantasmic and trying not to cry. i mean, the juxtaposition of me sitting in lab, procrastinating, and how happy those stupid fireworks make me... *sigh*

on a much happier note, as of tomorrow i will have been married one year! (sal will too ;) so in honor of that, and the fact that my attention span has lasted long enough to remember to post a top 10 this week, here's my ( top 10 mooshy 'i heart sal' songs )

i realized recently that nostalgia plus retentive listmaking plus music addiction equals top 10 lists... so here's the first of what could be several friday top 10s. if you're nice i'll post some of the songs (probably friends only) for your downloading pleasure ;)
